Ten Years up to today
Ten years ago I was 11 years old and a freshman in highschool. I was really excited about being out of grade school. At this time, I still did not know how to commute and had to wait for my yaya to pick me up from school. My mom brings me food every lunch and this was the time I had formed a great barkada and one of the best moments of my life. Even though I was already in highschool, I was more excited playing with barbie dolls and hanging out with friends. Boys were still out of the question. Hmm except for my seatmate crush whom I agreed to write lectures for him and the upper year guy whom I've held hands while singing "Our Father" during one of our First Friday Masses.
Five years ago I was 16. Addicted with lovestories and paperbooks in general. I was a sophomore in college and having the time of my life. At this time, the wonders of graphic design and the internet has caught up with me and I tirelessly stare in front of the computer monitor encoding software, tinkering with photoshop, reading email from edsamail, and chatting on mirc.
Days would not be complete without having isaw in UP with Sonie, Chonna, LJ, Mia and Jay, watching movies, shopping and hanging out with my barkada. At this time, Apple is still here in the Phils and we spend endless hours talking on the phone. Three way was the in thing. After going home from school, Barry, Apple, Dyan, Jobert, Bernard and a few more people are constant chatters on the phone. This was the time I formed life long friends that I terribly miss now because we seldom get together anymore.
One year ago I joined PWS, leaving behind my position as an L2 and reluctantly going back to calls so I can have Microsoft and A+ Certifications. At that time, I was thinking that the program will ramp up soon and it would be easy to move up. I was reluctant to leave my Gryffindor team. They've become so close to me and I also went out a lot with them. We always think of crazy things to do. One time we spent our day off in a hotel somewhere in Roxas Blvd, had a blast in Star City, waited for the sun to rise in baywalk, biked in CCP, went bowling in Rob Place, and went to Malate to surf the net instead of going out on gimiks.
Now, Im in denial and would rather not think if what I did was a good decision or not. One thing I dont regret is meeting my Dragonlance friends. We've been through good times and bad times. The stress of work probably made us closer. Now this team is what I always talk about in my previous posts. Cocomangas is a Dragonlance offshoot. We were split into three groups and my team is probably the most outgoing. Our motto was "work all day, party all night"! Now, out-of-town trips are no longer just GA stuff, we go whenever we want to!
and well, change is constant. Im now again part of a different team. I wonder what is going to happen there in my new family!
Yesterday, I had my ears pierced and went to Onse's birthday. Details are on the previous post. :)
Today, I went to mass with my family. Dad treated us to lunch and we went to the grocery. I watched Zorro in DVD, but I dont know what happened because I was lying on the sofa and i got asleep. I can't ask my dad what happened because he fell asleep even before I did. Haha. It might be contagious! I always do that whenever watching anything.
Tomorrow is the start of the third week of our training! I usually get sleepy in the middle of discussion, It's always hard to keep my eyes open. If not for the games and Dana's good natured personality I probably would not be able to stand having 4 more weeks of training. But then again, Im not too excited to take in calls and would rather stay in training.
I tag Carla, Kapay, and Jen!
