CraShEd

My computer has been giving me problems for a long time now. It finally gave up on me yesterday. =( I spent half of last night and the whole day today trying to fix it. I dismantled and opened up the tower, removed all the cards inside, filled my hands with dust, erased all my files and reinstalled windows..as if that is not enough, I had to buy a new hard drive and sound card today. I was pretty positive those are all I need to get this fixed! I was so wrong..the memory cards also need to be replaced! I should probably just buy a new tower! Hmmnn..I was finally (almost) able to fix it. Now it can go online (that is all i can do right now) and i can blog all i want. Never mind the fact that I had to click a thousand error messages and restart the computer a million times. It's a good thing though that I do this at work everyday, at least I know what i need to do. It's just so hard on the pocket! I had to shell out quite a lot to buy those replacement parts.

Enchanted Kingdom

I spent the whole Sunday afternoon with my friends from work. finally, after weeks and weeks of delay..our plan to go to Enchanted Kingdom finally pushed
through! Yeah, we were like kids gone loose....!

We planned to meet around 9 am at the parking lot of Landmark. From there, we boarded the E.K. Shuttle which would take us from Ayala to Enchanted Kingdom and back. Tickets and bus fare cost 630 pesos (not bad..) We arrived there at around 11:30 am.

Our first stop is the 4D Discovery Theater . We watched the thriller "Escape
from Bane Manor".
The story is not that good but the effects are awesome! You literally feel the wind blowing, the blood spurting, the birds flying, the twigs snapping at your face and the monsters grabbing at you!

Then,we headed off to the Giant Ferris wheel It's so high! Grabe ang lamig sa taas!

rollerskaters

Ok..so dito naman kami sa rollerskaters. ang roller coaster na kayang sakyan ni Harry, Jen and Kristine. Takot kasi sila sa mataas, dito na lang muna kami sa kiddie version ng space shuttle.

a-away Then off we went to Anchor's away nakakatawa si harry! sigaw sya ng sigaw! "Mommy, ibaba nyo na ko dito! Mag cacalls na lang ako!" di ko na maalala pano nya sinabi pero parang ganon..Si Carla, Aldin and I went for a second round. Dun kami sa pinakadulo para masaya..we were waving our hands up and down pa nga then we kept on laughing on the facial expressions of the people on the other side of the ship! Some of them were really scared while we 3 just kept on laughing. I've got some videos on my phone but im still trying to figure out how i can upload them.

logjamnew

Ok. so, next dun naman kami sa Jungle Log Jam. Nakakatawa pics namin nung pababa na yung log! Sayang, di namin binili pics namin..mahal kasi.

KööLÌT(452)
time for Lunch! Kakagutom ang rides,so we took a break and grabbed something to eat!

KööLÌT(467)
After eating, we went straight to the Rio Grande Rapids. We waited in line for a while but it was worth it. Super basa kaming lahat! As in dripping wet..pati underwear nabasa sa mga waves at shower!

After nun, nag paintball kami! barilan ng paint bombs. girls vs boys. We dont know who won..pero kakawawa si carla, nabaril sya ni harry and aldin on both arms. sana wala sya pasa. =)

Then dun na kami sa ultimate challenge - SPACE SHUTTLE (spine-tingling speed and flight like never before on the 11-storey high Space Shuttle, named after the first manned spacecraft designed for reuse. The country's first and only triple loop coaster turns riders upside down six times - 3 times forward and 3 times backwards.) O di ba katakot! Kaming tatlo ulit ni carla and aldin ang nag try..and nag 2 rounds ulit kami. First dun kami sa dulo then the next time, sa unahan naman. Ang sarap ng feeling magpapabalibaliktad sa ere! =)

KööLÌT(462)
KööLÌT(461)
Escape inside the Rialto, Brooklyn's motion simulator theater which combines sight, sound and movement. Here, one does not merely watch a movie - one is actually in the movie!

KööLÌT(470)
Off we go home!

KööLÌT(473)
Naubusan na kami ng upuan sa bus...dun tuloy kami sa unahan! as in sa steps ng bus na kami nakaupo..

enchanted tayo ulit!

IM STILL IN THE PROCESS OF EDITING THIS BLOG..I NEED TO GET SOME MORE PICS FROM CARLA, HARRY AND ALDIN'S CAMERAS. =)

You Know You're Filipino When.....

I know it, i know it! i am filipino. :)

You Know You're Filipino When....

Your middle name is your mother's maiden name.

Your parents call each other "Mommy" and "Daddy."

You have uncles and aunts named "Boy," "Girlie," or "Baby."

You have relatives whose nicknames consist of repeated syllables like "Jun-Jun," "Ling-Ling," and "Mon-Mon." Mine by the way was "Che-Che."

You call the parents of your friends and your own parents' friends "Tito" and "Tita."

You have four or five names.

You greet your elders by touching their hands to your forehead.

You always kiss your relatives on the cheek whenever you enter or leave the room.

You follow your parents' house rules even if you are over 18.

You live with your parents until and at times even after you're married.

You decorate your dining room wall with a picture of the "Last Supper."

You keep your furniture wrapped in plastic or covered with blankets.

You have a Sto. Nino shrine in your living room.

You have a piano that no one plays.

You keep a tabo in your bathroom.

You use Vicks Vapor rub as an insect repellant.

You eat with your hands.

You eat more than three times a day.

You think a meal is not a meal without rice.

You think sandwiches are snacks, not meals.

Your dining table has a merry-go-round (lazy Susan) in the middle.

You bring baon to work everyday.

Your pantry is never without Spam, Vienna sausage, corned beef, and sardines.

You love to eat daing or tuyo.

You prop up one knee while eating.

ou eat your meal with patis, toyo, suka, banana catsup, or bagoong.

Your tablecloths are stained with toyo circles.

You love sticky desserts and salty snacks.

You eat fried Spam and hot dogs with rice.

You eat mangoes with rice--with great GUSTO!

You love "dirty" ice cream.

You love to eat, yet often manage to stay slim.

You put hot dogs in your spaghetti.

Everything you eat is sauted in garlic, onion, and tomatoes.

You order a "soft drink" instead of soda.

You hang a rosary on your car's rear view mirror.

You get together with family at a cemetery on All Saint's Day to eat, drink, and tell stories by your loved ones' graves.

You play cards or mahjong and drink beer at funeral wakes.

You think Christmas season begins in October and ends in January.

Your second piece of luggage is a balikbayan box.

You've mastered the art of packing a suitcase to double capacity.

You collect items from airlines, hotels, and restaurants as "souvenirs."

You feel obligated to give pasalubong to all your friends and relatives each time you return from a trip.

You use paper foot outlines when buying shoes for friends and relatives.

You're a fashion victim.

You can convey 30 messages with your facial expression.

You hold your palms together in front of you and say "excuse, excuse" when you pass in between people or in front of the TV.

You ask for the bill at a restaurant by making a rectangle in the air.

You cover your mouth when you laugh.

You respond to a "Hoy!" or a "Pssst!" in a crowd.

You'll answer "Malapit lang!"--no matter the distance--when asked how far away a place is located.

Goldilocks is more than a fairy tale character to you.

You refer to power interruptions as "brownouts."

You love to use the following acronyms: CR for comfort room, DI for dance instructor, DOM for dirty old man, TNT for tago nang tago, KJ for kill joy, KSP for kulang sa pansin, OA for over-acting, TL for true love, BF for boyfriend and GF for girlfriend.

You say "rubber shoes" instead of sneakers, "ball pen" instead of pen, "stockings" instead of pantyhose, "pampers" instead of diapers, "ref" or "prijider" instead of refrigerator, "Colgate" instead of toothpaste, "canteen" instead of cafeteria, and "open" or "close" instead of turn on or turn off (as in the lights).

You use an umbrella for shade on hot summer days.

You like everything imported or "state-side."

You love ballroom dancing, bowling, pusoy, mah jong, billiards, and karaoke.

You have a relative who is a nurse.

When you're in a restaurant, you wipe your plate and utensils before using them.

You can squeeze 15 passengers into your five seater car without a second thought.

You wave a pom-pom on a stick around the food to keep the flies away.

You always ring a doorbell twice, assuming that the first ring was not heard.

You let the phone ring twice before answering, lest you appear overly eager.

Your other piece of luggage is a balikbayan box.

You use a rock to scrub yourself in the bath or shower.

You're proud to be Filapino - and you pass these jokes on to all your Filipino friends!

What Kind of Soul Are You?

Omigosh..this is so true. I cant describe myself more than what it says here...

You Are a Dreaming Soul

Your vivid emotions and imagination takes you away from this world
So much so that you tend to live in your head most of the time
You have great dreams and ambitions that could be the envy of all...
But for you, following through with your dreams is a bit difficult

You are charming, endearing, and people tend to love you.
Forgiving and tolerant, you see the world through rose colored glasses.
Underneath it all, you have a ton of passion that you hide from others.
Always hopeful, you tend to expect positive outcomes in your life.

Souls you are most compatible with: Newborn Soul, Prophet Soul, and Traveler Soul

What Kind of Intelligence Do You Have?

check this out. It's cool! Here's my test results:

Your Dominant Intelligence is Spatial Intelligence

You've got a good sense of space and how the world around you looks.
You can close your eyes and "see" images. You have innate artistic talent.
An eye for color and shapes, you're also a natural designer.
Since you think in pictures, visual aids and demonstartions help you learn best.

You would make a good navigator, sculptor, visual artist, inventor, architect, interior designer, or engineer.

A New Day, A New Beginning

Good morning everyone! It’s the first Monday of 2005. It’s 4 am here and I am wide awake…I decided to at least do something substantial this day instead of just bumming around and sleeping all day. Last night before going to sleep, I told myself I would make a New Year’s resolution. But how many new year’s resolution had I broken so far? (*hmmm* maybe a dozen? J)Oh..awwright..I know I know...I will probably break  or not even do what I will write here but I intend to make this year better than the last. (Oh so please help me God!) hahaha!

Here's the list:

Lose Weight. This has always been on top of my list for lots of years now. Yeah, i managed to do it a few times but I need to find a way to permanently keep it off. Omigosh! I need to do this before June (note to self:Renew gym subscription for January and eat more sensibly) before my grandparents' golden wedding. It's not everyday that I get to wear a gown. =)

Stop Procrastinating! I am the biggest procrastinator of all time. I have a tendency to put off things for a while and say "bahala na" then cram when the deadline is near. I have tons..I mean a mountain of unfinished work that needs to be done. So where would I start? Hmm...finish my P.A (which is now!) for my Leadership Development Program, double check the formulas and metrics of our team scores (or else my TL will kill me!).Clean up my email (all 3 accounts!) Organize my baby photos (which i've put off for almost 4 yrs), clean up my room and get rid of all the junk stashed everywhere(hmm mm yeah yeah this better needs to be done). Buy a Chrismas gift for my godchild Ysabelle(Duh! Christmas is over..u havent done it yet?).hmmm..what else? i still have thousands of things that I wanna write down but it will take me all day doing that.
Hehehe.
Ooops..and upgrade our computer! I dont know how long this will work still if we keep on using our big industrial fan in place of the non working proc fan in there.I should buy a CD/DVD RW so that I have a backup of all my stuff in there and not lose everything again(for the nth time) everytime our PC crashes.

Save money. I've been working for a little more than 2 years now and I still dont have enough savings in the bank =( . I need to be more careful of what I do with my money and keep track of all my expenses... (does that mean less mocha frapps from starbucks and less going out? oh no...)  Seriously. I really need to look into my spending habits and visit the bank more frequently (no more excuses that I am too sleepy to go to the bank, putting  it off some other day then ending up spending all of it!)

Get a life. All work and no play makes Babygirl a dull girl. This new year, I plan to make most of my day instead of just going to work and sleeping all day which has been my routine this past year. Travel, meet my friends more often, learn a new language and learn how to drive! Yey!

Be a better sister/daughter/friend....

and most importantly be a better PERSON

RaInBoW

Song By South Border. I love the lyrics and the melody...this is definitely one of the best songs of 2004.  May this New Year be the start of a more Blessed. Prosperous, Fruitful and Peaceful Year for all of us. Cheers! God bless everyone...

Fallin' out, fallin' in
Nothing's sure in this world no, no
Breakin' out, breakin' in
Never knowin' what lies ahead
We can really never tell it all no, no, no
Say goodbye, say hello
To a lover or friend
Sometimes we never could understand
Why some things begin then just end
We can really never tell it all no, no, no

But oh, can't you see
That no matter what happens
Life goes on and on
So baby, just/please smile
Coz im always around you
And ill make you see how beautiful
Life is for you and me

Take a little time baby
See the butterflies color's
Listen to the birds that were sent
To sing for me and you
Can you feel me
This is such a wonderful place to be
Even if there is pain now
Everything would be all right
For as long as the world still turns
There will be night and day
Can you hear me
There's a rainbow always after the rain

Ohh, whoa

Hittin' high, hittin' low
Win or lose you should go, yeah yeah
Getting warm, getting cold
Weather could be so good or bad
But baby this is life now don't get mad no, no, no

Coz oh, cant you see
That no matter what happens
Life goes on and on
So baby, please smile
Coz im always around you
And ill make you see how beautiful
Life is for you and me

Take a little time baby
See the butterflies' colors
Listen to the birds that were sent
To sing for me and you
Can you feel me
This is such a wonderful place to be
Even if there is pain now
Everything would be all right
For as long as the world still turns
There will be night and day
Can you hear me
There's a rainbow always after the rain

Life's full of challenges
Not all the time we get what we want
But don't despair my dear coz I know now
You'll take each trial and you'll make it through the storm
Coz you're strong my faith in you is clear
So ill say once again this worlds wonderful and
Let us celebrate life that's so beautiful, so beautiful
Ohhhh

Take a little time baby
See the butterflies' colors
Listen to the birds that were sent
To sing for me and you
Can you feel me
This is such a wonderful place to be
Even if there is pain now
Everything would be all right
For as long as the world still turns
There will be night and day
Can you hear me
There's a rainbow always after the rain
