What's Up?
Hi There!
Sorry I haven't updated my blog for quite some time. Uhmm..call it writer's block or whatever. Oops..I never really considered myself as a writer though. Hehe I was never that good with words. Add the fact that Im rarely home so I dont really have much time to blog. But anyways, let me update you with a few things that has been happening to me lately:
1. I have started to attend a photography workshop facilitated by the Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation (FPPF) every Saturday in FPPF Art Chamber, Fort Santiago, Intramuros, Manila. Im attending the Advanced Photo workshop right now. It would run for 5 succesive Saturdays and so far, I have enjoyed the classes we've had! I guess it would have been better if I was able to attend the basic photo workshop first..but unfortunately due to the limited slots, I was not able to register beforehand and so I was not able to enroll last month. Good thing there are a lot of sites on the internet that can help you master the basics of photography - one fine site is - morgueFile. It has lots of articles that cover almost ALL the things you need to know about photography! So..I was quite ready for the advanced workshop thingy..hahaha I wish..! Nah..I still need a lot of help from my workshop mates and it really helps to ask a lot of questions and do a lot of observations. Good thing Nat's there to help me out and lend me his camera. Yup, for now I still resort to borrowing Nat's and Ian's camera. Oh yeah..I need to work my butt off to get myself a new digital SLR! (which hopefully would be a few days from now! yipeee..you dont know how excited i am..Ü)
Earlier before going to work, I stopped by Rockwell to see PDI's Photo Expo Digital Weekend. It's a 3 day annual trade fair and seminar series. The special photo exhibit of some of the country’s finest international lensmen are very interesting. I even saw a couple of pictures taken by one of our instructors - Mr. Ed Santiago. His black and white pictures are all very engaging. He taught us how to develop pictures in a dark room and you can really see how passionate he is with his craft...after more than 50 years taking pictures, you can still see the gleam in his eyes and the excitement in his voice when he is teaching us. Mr. Vic Sison is our other instructor. He's quite funny and very very articulate. He's teaching us portrait photography right now and I just love his lectures!
Wanna see some of my work?

2. My brother and I recently had braces installed. For now, I can't eat any solid foods and I have trouble speaking and I've got canker sores. Man, it sure hurts. This is my second time and I totally forgot how hard it was....daymn..can't eat anything solid..hehehe maybe that's a good thing. Don't ya think?

hey babygurlllllllllllllllll! i am so glad you took the plunge and went after an artistic pursuit you are so good at! as they say, if you enjoy what you're doing, success will follow! thank God that at your age, you know what you want and you pursue them. i am so impressed that you seek to hone your craft in whatever endeavour you're currently at. that's the key to success, focus and determination! i myself will start my fashion and interior design classes soon! remember, we got a bridal biz (on the side) to work on in the future, i'll handle the dresses (and maybe make-up?), you do the photography! sounds like a plan to you?
very proud of you!
