A Weekend in Baguio
Team Cocomangas did it again! Layas talaga lahat kami. At the spur of the moment, we decided to go to Baguio and spend our weekend there. Unfortunately, Allan could not come because his wife is about to deliver anytime soon and he has an exam with the I.T. Department. Lem and Theta both are our new teammates but they have a different off so they couldn’t come. Natnat – part of the “cocomangas” barkada is now with Team Wowowee so he was not able to go with us as well. Sayang, wala kami SLR. Hahaha. We have an honorary member with us. Tann came. He is from Team Bulaga but since we have similar offs, he went with us. Super biglaan nga talaga! Aldin brought along his girlfriend and her sister so there were ten of us in all. It was supposed to be a team GA but since the others could not come, we decided to shoulder all expenses and just have our GA another time.
Our shift ended at 7am Saturday. We brought our bags with us so at exactly 7am, we logged out and went straight to the bus station to catch the 8am trip. We barely made it! The trip lasted for about 7 hours with two stop overs. Typical me, I was asleep almost the whole time! Just was seated beside me and he said I was snoring. Dyahe kaya. I had a cough and colds and funny thing is, when I woke up I don’t have any voice left! It was soo hoarse. I am feeling groggy and I’ve been coughing non stop, my throat is itchy and my nose is running. But that was not to stop me from enjoying our stay! I was prepared. I’ve got lots of water, medicine, lozenges, and tissue paper with me. Iba na ang handa. It’s a good thing that I felt better the next day.
First stop is Burnham Park. After just one hour of rest, we were out and taking pictures! Complete gear pa. See the girls’ scarfs? We bought those from a sidewalk vendor in the park.
After that, we ate steaming hot bulalo, grilled squid, and grilled liempo from a nearby carinderia. Then, we headed off to Session Road. We were caught in the rain so we took shade in one of the buildings there and I began clicking away.
di ko mapigilan di tumingin sa camera....part 1
magnanakaw daw sabi nila
The architecture of SM Baguio is very different from the almost box-like structures of malls you find here in Manila. It doesn’t have any airconditioning and its ergonomic design takes advantage of the natural cool air of Baguio. The verandah also offers a nice view of the city’s downtown.
di ko talaga mapigilan di tumingin sa camera....Promise!
i like this shot of Carla. The lights at the back is cool!
cute ni con ano?
hanging out and drinking coffee at mocha blends. The reason why I lost my voice. Hahaha
And then, there was Superman. I mean..Tanny The Man!
The Whole Gang
After that, we went home and rested. And not to be left out of our agenda, we partied the night away! Cactus bar here we go!
The party ended about 2am. It’s quite early for us and we were hungry so we ate outafterwards. The team actually split because some were craving for goto and some wanna eat in Chowking. We just met at the house afterwards.
Sunday pics to follow tomorrow. =)
